SamArt

Privacy policy

Privacy policy

Effective October 10, 2026. Applies to the SamArt website (samart.app) and the SamArt apps for Android, Windows, iPhone, iPad and Mac. SamArt is operated by Gigadyne LLC, Hutto, Texas.

What we collect

SamArt has no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs, and we don't sell or share your information for advertising. You can browse the gallery and send your own photos to your TV without an account. We don't collect your contacts or location.

Like any website, our server receives your IP address and basic request details (such as which image you downloaded) when you browse or download artwork. We use these only to run the service and prevent abuse, such as enforcing download limits. Server logs rotate automatically and are not sold or shared.

Accounts

You don't need an account to browse or to buy. Signing in lets you use your purchase on your other devices, sync your settings, and create AI art. You can sign in with Google, Apple or Microsoft, or with a one-time code we email to you. Sign-in codes are sent through our email provider, Resend, and expire after 15 minutes.

For your account we store the sign-in provider's identifier for your account, your email address, and a display name. Other people never see your email address or full name: the only thing shown publicly is your creator credit, which is your first name and last initial (for example "Jeff T."). You can change it in the app.

We never receive or store a password. When you sign in, we keep only a hashed (one-way scrambled) copy of your session token, so a copy of our database can't be used to sign in as you.

Purchases

SamArt Unlock is bought through your device's app store (Google Play, the Microsoft Store or the App Store). The store handles payment; we never receive your card or payment details. The app sends us the store's proof of purchase, and we check it with the store. We keep the store's purchase identifier, the product, the purchase date and whether it's still valid, linked to your SamArt account.

If you buy without signing in, the app creates an anonymous account for that one device so the purchase has somewhere to live. It holds no name or email address. When you sign in, it's merged into your account and deleted.

Devices and synced settings

Each account can be used on up to 5 devices. For each one we keep a random identifier the app creates when it's installed, the platform (for example Android or Windows), the device name the app shows in your device list, and when it was last used. You can remove a device in the app at any time.

When you're signed in, the app saves these settings to your account so they appear on your other devices:

Your TVs' access keys, anything from My Photos, and the record of what's been sent to each TV are never sent to us.

AI creations

When you create art in the app, we store the description you type and the image that's made from it, linked to your account so you can see your creations.

Your description is first checked for safety by Anthropic's Claude AI service. If it's accepted, the checked description is sent to an AI image service to make the picture. Today that service is Runway; later it will be a computer that SamArt runs itself. Only the description is sent to the image service, not your name or email address. The finished image is then checked by Claude as well.

Requests and images that fail these checks are refused and the image is discarded. Accepted images are published publicly in the Community collection, credited to your display name, where anyone using SamArt can see them and put them on their TV. We can remove any Community image and block accounts that misuse the service.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app. This removes your email address, your sign-in, your devices and your synced settings, and signs you out everywhere. A record of any store purchase is kept so you can restore it later with the store; it's no longer linked to your email address. Art you've already published stays in the Community collection, credited anonymously as "A SamArt member". To have published pieces removed as well, email [email protected].

Your TV and home network

The app connects directly to your Samsung The Frame TV over your home Wi-Fi to send artwork. To find your TV, it checks addresses on your local network. That traffic stays on your network. Any access key your TV issues is stored only on your device. If you're signed in, your Frames' names, models and local addresses are synced to your account, as described above; otherwise nothing about your TV or your network is sent to us.

My Photos

Photos you send to your TV with My Photos go straight from your device to your TV over your home network. They never leave your device and home network, and they are never sent to SamArt.

Submitting your own art

If you submit artwork, we receive the image, the title, artist name and description you enter, any contact details you choose to give, and your IP address (to limit abuse). The image is re-encoded on receipt, which removes location and camera metadata. Submissions are kept privately for review and are published only if we approve them, with the credit you provided.

Before review, each image is screened automatically for obvious copyright and content problems using Anthropic's Claude AI service. Only a reduced-size copy of the image and the text you entered are sent for that check; your contact details and IP address are not. To have a submission removed, email [email protected].

Children

SamArt is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
